Christian Yelich has single handedly set this franchise back 8 years.

Actually I can't really blame him. The guys who signed him have set this franchise back 8 years.

I’m gonna tell you what.    I admire all you guys.     How you can faithfully watch this team and this nonsense all year

you guys deserve more than this crap

The Yelich contract was always supposed to be trading off paying for some rough years down the road as a chance to have a star in his prime right now. Unfortunately it’s looking more and more likely it’s going to be seven more long years ahead.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Fair enough. I was too young in 1982 (only 3 at the time) so I don’t remember the “best we’ve had). I do remember the late 80’s teams being exciting and even the early 90’s, but it was too hard to make the postseason at that time with no wild card. My teenage though mid-20s years the team was complete garbage. I even had a 20-pack in the wonderful 2002 season and was at loss 100. Of course being competitive is better, but never progressing can be even more disappointing than having regular sub-.500 teams.  Don’t get me wrong, being at the first postseason game in 2008 was amazing, and our runs in 2011 and 2018 were awesome, but knowing that the team hasn’t taken advantage of the best pitching window in franchise history is demoralizing and continuing to go forward with this approach is extremely disappointing.

I respect this perspective, for sure.  I have a feeling this is the last ride we’re going to get with Woody, Burnes, and Freddy together.  Either Burnes or Woodruff should probably be ticketed out of town in exchange for offense.  If you’re going to deal Hader now for a cost-saving measure, they have to be eyeing the price of those guys.  The whole offense is likely to be overhauled with fresh blood from the minors, too. Things are going to be interesting over the next six months.

This is why Wisconsin sports teams can get away with just doing enough to keep the teams competitive without spending more to actually take it to the next level. We are too faithful.

The Packers always are at the Cap and the Bucks are in the Luxury Tax (or whatever the NBA equivalent is) for the 2nd year in a row so you must mean the Brewers.

What a typical 2022 Brewers game

Even if they sneak by with a win - another ugly game against an inferior opponent

Nothing enjoyable about this team

ugly game after ugly game

Yes, but the Packers are always at the cap because they re sign their own. That's not "going all in", like they claim they are. Ironically the last two teams to "truly" go all in...The Bucs and Rams, have won the last two Super Bowls. That's no coincidence

That 10th inning could be used as Exhibit A to demonstrate the Brewers futility.

First, failing to add on with runners on 1st and 2nd, started by Yelich trying to pull the 3-1 pitch then striking out.

Second, allowing Happ a free stroll to third, to set up,

Third, Yelich letting a ball drop out of his hands to allow Happ to waltz home with the tying run.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.
