I wasn't feeling particularly old today until I saw this. 😀

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

First players started being born after me, then after I graduated.  Now they are being born after one of my kids was born.  Just didn't need that reminder of how old I'm getting.

Walker's season may project what kind of season Chourio might have next year. Cards fans would probably put him top 30-40 batter in all of baseball right now.

Woodruff with good numbers thus far against Goldy and Arenado. Good sign this should be a win today.

He hasn't seen anywhere near enough yet, be interesting to see after a couple of months, but also chourio has better defensive capabilities and more speed.

Im saying no more because, devil magic, but I maybe don't rate walker as highly as the cards fanbase is

Not surprising based on this photograph alone...

That picture was taken in March 2003 so Jordan Walker is a little older than it. Maybe one day Jackson Chourio will be the first major league player born after the get a brain moran picture.

You're just a kid.  I turned 69 in January.

Winker+Toro for Wong is looking like a total steal. Kolten looks washed up.

More so, I'm not sure Craig plays Turang over the vet Kolton if he is still on the roster?

In a way, this trade is Turang + Winker + Toro for Wong. In a way.

Between the declining defense & going from one of the easier parks for LH power to one of the more difficult ones, Kolten definitely has his work cut out for him this year.

Still feel like he is a mortal lock for a couple two tree WAR, but I guess time catches up to everybody eventually.

Seeing the Cardinals lineup and batting averages (yes I know there's more to it than that), it's hard to believe STL is 2-4

I might be in the minority here but I hate these series with the cardinals.     Just tell me the scores and move on

at some point we will be accused of not playing baseball the right way blah blah blah

Same thing with the Renfroe trade.

Sure, the actual return was Junk plus two, but it also opened the door for a cheaper, more versatile option (with higher upside, though less certainty) to be acquired in Anderson plus cleared the path for Wiemer.

Now look at their ERAs.

Spoiler alert…5.33 team ERA ranks 24th.

With Woody's changeup, maybe we should be looking at extending him? I am guessing we can "afford" to extend one Big Woo or Willy if they are willing. (Thanks Yelich)
