Yea I thought it was funny yesterday you could use Cruz everywhere.  So it was to save him for last.

I only got 7 today and gave up after 5 or so minutes.    I can't believe I struggled with Phi/Stl so much, especially after seeing the top answer.   Missed Det/Phi too but not surprised I don't know Det well.

This is the knockoff version of immaculate grid but it is fun trying to remember old Brewers:

Jeez, Mieske doesn't rate a picture? Ouch.

Okay, this is a mini spoiler, but the fact that Wally Joyner never had 200 hits in a year, nor a career batting average of .300, was stunning to me in the grid today. Cost me dearly when I was doing well up until that row.

Joyner looked like a future HOFer after 1987 but kind of peaked there. Lots of old timey baseball players to choose from with the Sox and Pirates as teams with 200 hits and 300 batting average.

I need to share my joy for utilizing Peter Zoccolillo and both Moutons in today’s grid.

Man, and I thought my Paciorek pick was good. You beat it on all three

I went with Marc Newfield .05%, Darryl Hamilton .6%, and Jace Peterson .1%.    You guys win.      My rarity for the day was only 27.  highest ones I had were 8%

You can go back and complete previous grids now.

Thanks for the heads up! I just used A Milwaukee outfield of rf Dave Nilsson .1%, cf BJ Surhoff .2% and lf Caleb Gindl.04%. Got Arica in lf for atl at .4% too. This would be a great grid but I can’t think of anything rare for Washington right now.

This may have been asked previously:  how many of you go researching and looking up rare answers versus just going by memory and trying your best?

I’ve only done a few of these (too busy most of the time to do them) but when I have I just go on memory.  I find it more rewarding to see how good my score can be just on memory.

just curious.

Memory, 100%
Seems like a waste of time to cheat

Agreed.  And if it's a grid that I have no clue I just guess and oh well.  But then at the end, it'll show the average rarity score for the day.  Like today's I think was somewhere around 6.  How is that possible to make that rarity score without doing serious research, much less have that as the average?  I don't think so.

I believe the 6 refers to getting six of nine correct,
