12 seasons of control (and potentially six more in the #34 pick) for one of Burnes. This is a good deal.

Emphatically agree to disagree.

What do you know? lol. Is there more? With them acquiring Joey Ortiz it seems Adames is out the door too.

Ortiz could play 2B or 3B.  Not unrealistic to think that Turang gets sent down to work on hitting or that Black gets sent down to work on defense.

I hope there's more to the deal. Not surprised if there isn't. I don't think the deal is bad - Hall/Ortiz for Burnes - I just think there's a premium we should be getting something extra.

I'm surprised at the negative reaction to the deal here. Burnes hasn't been CY BURNES for a while and he's only got one year left on his contract.

I think the Brewers did really well.

That draft pick is a big deal right?

I knew when they signed Hoskins that Burnes had to be gone. I'm guessing Mark was like bro what's going on here? I clearly said cut the payroll to half of what Ohtani makes.

The deal doesn't excite me, but truthfully I'm not really surprised at the return.

With that said, something else is coming with Adames or a FA signing...right?

What an underwhelming return. Ortiz hits the ball hard but can't hit the ball in the air. Hall has incredible stuff but really shaky command. I think Hall is a sure thing MLB RP, but Ortiz has plenty of question marks and he's already 25 years old.

We dealt a competitive pick for Claudio a few years ago. I think that's about their value.

This trade comes down to whether you think Ortiz will hit and Hall will start. If you do, it’s a good deal. If not, it is underwhelming. It was unlikely they were getting a top-30 type unless some team really panicked.

Here I thought we were getting a haul since we actually dealt him. But on paper we got taken to the woodshed on this one. The hypothetical QO pick has more value than this one IMO in the '25 draft which is undoubtedly gonna be the more talented class. I am low on Ortiz and Hall has had so many issues he should change his name to IL. Overall not great bob, but I am gonna trust Arnold and his staff.

You do know that MA was the one who reached out to Hoskins agent to get the deal done right? Right?

Can’t say I’m impressed, I don’t really understand why we signed Hoskins, if we’re also selling our ace for not even top level prospects.

We also have 15 million to spend…….if they choose to do it?

riddle me this……if they didn’t plan to compete this season why spend that money on Hoskins for what is likely to be  a 1 year deal?

For a pitcher who is most likely a fringe reliever and a glove first SS?

They need a 1st baseman. It was a 1 year cheap deal. No biggie
