I miss Healthy Yelich. Heck of a 'W'.

I will say it again: If Hicklen avoided serious injury (and it looks as tho that is the case) and they are looking for an OF bat, he has to get the call. He does too much to worry about his average defense.

Great win. Nice recovery for a split!

And (pedantry alert!) it's Wiemer. Under German pronunciation rules, Weimer would be pronounced WHY-mer. (Actually VYE-mer, but let's not get carried away.)

You're welcome!! 😁😶

Granted it was really a no-pressure save for Megill today (and the first of his career 103 games in), but I kinda like him as the regular closer-for-now. The numbers guys will probably tell me it's a bad idea - I'm basing this on my lower nervousness level when he's out there...

I think any save with a 2 run lead can turn into a high pressure save quickly. He did a good job keeping it low pressure.

This team is tough!

It would appear as though they believe in themselves considerably more than a decent sized portion of the fanbase does.

It is the nature of fandom to have a complete change of attitude before and after an 8th-inning two-out pinch-hit go-ahead-from-behind homer from a guy batting .189...

I am that guy.

I didn't get to see the game because of work but it's good to see we got the split after it looked like we'd be swept. I'll definitely take it. Looking at the box score, am I reading this right that Contreras hit a 448 foot bomb? I guess I'll have to find the highlight.

There's an old internet fan board adage-----or at least there should be----that would go something like this: When you read complaints about this & that player, take it with a grain of salt because NOBODY can be THAT bad. It applied today. Sanchez, obviously. And Bauers not only helped produce a couple runs today, but saved a big one in the 8th on a real tricky hop.

Nice to come back & win on a day that Peralta was, frankly, really poor.

Would like an explanation as to why Koenig didn't stay in for Cruz leading off the 8th. But the pen AGAIN, my goodness. Well done.

I would hope that professional athletes would have confidence in themselves. If they don’t they’re in the wrong business.

Fans who have no ability to affect the outcome are in a completely different position.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I confess that I was hoping they'd send him. Alas. Didn't work.

The chances of Reynolds making a subpar throw are low, but IMO higher than getting a successful AB w/2 outs. I got no problem wid it.
