As a body of work, I think the Twins are making some good plays.

And as I say that, Correa is on the move. They're gonna have a lot of prospects and pieces to move around their affiliates.

we have a bad left side of the infield.

Shortstop, sure.

Durbin is 12th in MLB with 1.6 WAR as a third baseman though.

He's also been pretty clutch with his +1.43 WPA second on the team behind only Babe Vaughn (+1.88) and just ahead of Chourio (+1.11) so far this year,

For someone that was hailed by many around here as "NOT A 3B" when acquired he has put up +7 DRS and +2 FRV at the hot corner.

Thought I read he was basically out for the regular season. Can always trade one in the offseason.

Captain Obvious says it is absolutely nuts to be content with SS/3B situation….EVEN if you say you are good with Ortiz/Durbin.  No one should be ok with Monasterio and Siegler as backups when better veteran backup players can be had for peanuts.

Crazy it is not seen or addressed already.

Most interesting thing will be how they handle $100M owed.  Either solid prospects going to Minnesota to include a lot of cash  or a "lackluster" return to be rid of the salary.

Doubt the return is much of anything due to that contract. Unless the Twins eat enough salary to buy a prospect in return which I'd bet against.

Paredes is out for the season. Looks like Correa is his replacement.

What is one big move that you want to see?  There’s not a lot of big names available that fit our needs that I can see working out.

I just find that hard to believe. We don't have anyone ops over 775. We have a shortstop ops 540. We have a great system. Dangle someone that can add depth to the lineup. Our 1st baseman was out of the league a month ago. Did anyone think Miller was available? He was made available because of the offer. Be aggressive.

II have to say, I don't know if it is blind faith; stupidity; ignorance; or a sign of intelligence, but it feels incredibly liberating and quite nice to not see a reason the Brewers need to make a single move at this Deadline.

I trust in the power of Friendships (this is a joke). OH, and I also think they are just a much better baseball team than I did earlier in the season. I trust their process.

Naturally, I am prepared tor this comment to age like moldy cheese should they make a late flurry of moves.😅

Either way, his contract is underwater and getting deeper. Probably a good call for MN no matter which outcome they land on.

Twins for sale so this feels like investment dump

This the post of the day

There hasn't been a single move yet where I thought the Brewers should have been in on it instead.

Naylor, Suarez to a lesser extent, Urias, Rosario.

O'Hearn to the Padres

Welp... Here's to Vaughn turning into a pumpkin either after the World Series or never.
