Surprised it took this long. We must be the last team to finally get premium seating behind home plate. Not l like I'll be able to afford it.

"Built in the area just outside the ballpark along the first-base line, the club will eventually connect to the current concourses when it opens in 2027. The idea: An all-inclusive fan experience with valet, food, drink and gathering space for ticket-holders, part of what essentially counts as a reimagining of the season-ticket program for 375 seats.

The idea even affects the playing field; a new front row of seats will be added to what currently exists, slightly shaving down the space behind home plate. Ticket holders in the first six rows behind the plate (the current front five and the newly added sixth) will have new cushioned seats, in-seat delivery service and access to the Truss Club."

All this means is more empty seats behind home plate. Those folks are generally more interested in the lounge and other amenities than the game.

And it's hard to blame them given what these seats cost and the amenities that are offered.

IMO it would be better to use the loge seats directly below the press box as other teams have done, since you can charge essentially the same price but you don't give up the best seats to people who are not there to watch the game.

The suspense for me is whether Front Row Amy will continue to live up to her moniker.

I'm thinking no.

"Pricing starts at $245"

how much for front row behind the plate I wonder. 500?

Isn't that what they currently have in the 3rd deck now, 300 Club or whatever they call it now.  I guess they're not getting the buyin on those since they're too high up?   IDK, I'm not sure there is enough super rich and big corps to buy this up at the level of most other big cities so it would be better leave it generally as is and do something else to try and court those rich people/businesses.  As you say, maybe shifting the 300 level stuff to somewhere in the 2nd or just making the 300 club better.   I've only had tickets in it once, for a weekday playoff game vs AZ 3ish years ago and it was basically dead, not crowded, etc
