The problem is when Frelick was here and terrible Vaughn was sitting against righty. Now that Lara is here and hitting Vaughn suddenly is the man against righty. It's nonsense. That's the frustration

Lara (and Pratt) are not accustomed to an MLB schedule. They naturally require more off days than the other guys as they adjust to MLB life.

Mahle is also worse against RHH this year to the tune of an .872 OPS vs. .726 against LHH.

Hardly nonsense. I'll defer to the decision-making of the winningest manager in Brewers history for the most part.

We're complaining because a rookie with 40 plate appearances is not starting over veterans with a .855 OPS, a .807 OPS, and a .807 OPS.

No, WE are not.

Rather than carping about the lineup every day, maybe it would be better to be glad that the Brewers have enough depth right now that they can afford to give players some days off without having a major drop off.

Those days off could help to keep the team relatively fresh through  the dog days of August.

Ugh, west coast trip. It's a late one tonight.

That's funny. My first thought was: "Ugh, a Brandon Sproat start to begin our road trip with an L while wasting bullpen innings."😅

Chourio, Mitchell, Bauers, Lara, and Vaughn cannot all be in the field at the same time. Whoever sits will be commented upon, without fail.

Ok, but they can be in the same lineup 😅

Yeah, Yelly leading off again is frustrating. Looks like Murph is willing to die on that hill.

He’s hit in 11 of his last 12 starts and walked and stole a base in the 0 for 3 game.  Think the people complaining about him are sort of dying on that hill, he’s been completely fine lately.  First half I get it, but why keep banging that drum after he’s heated up a bit?

That's fair. I should have checked the stats first cause it feels worse than that.  However, in my defense his OBP in the last week is 250.  He has been hitting extra base hits, which I will take in any slot in the lineup.  Maybe the argument is he should be hitting cleanup. 😜

Is Bauers slow?

He's got OK speed (8 sb's); he's just a terrible fielder.  When mlb.tv gives the lineup positions with defensive numbers, Bauers is -5 (maybe worse now).

You know when a hitter pops one up on the infield and somehow two infielders miscommunicate and it just drops in and is a “single” in the box score?

Sproat is having the pitching equivalent performance of that so far.
