2018 Brewers All Stars - Franchise Record 5: Hader, Cain, Yelich, Aguilar, Jeffress

I just tried to vote again before 3 PM and the link at brewers.com or mlb.com doesn't seem to be working... :(

Same for me.

Now it says it will reopen shortly.

Probably got hacked by a Russian Brandon Belt Bot.

I'm generally not compelled to vote for the ASG, but I genuinely want Aguilar to win the final vote and I've voted ~500x. He just seems to really want to go and his teammates seem to love the guy. Easy guy to root for and this may be his best chance to go.

I haven't ASG voted since the late 70's when Gillette sponsored it and the ushers handed out paper ballots where you had to punch out the chads. So at 11 am I'm pumped to voted for Jesus and I get the same error as above. Or does this belong in the What's Bugging You thread?

Also happy to see Segura get in. He was never going to become that player here - too much baggage with the loss of his son and too many reminders of that. He needed a fresh start.

For the Brewers to rebuild as quickly as they did primarily through trades, and to see ex-Brewers who maybe weren't thought of that highly (Segura, Haniger, Gennett on top of Brantley and Nelson Cruz) become All-Stars... those 2008-2014 teams had talent. They didn't luck their way into contention.

Jesus Aguilar gets in on the final vote! Well deserved and very excited for him! He has earned it!

Wow, 20.2 million votes, the second highest total ever in the ASG final vote. Well done, Brewers fans.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Try 20.2 million votes. I estimate I voted 300 or so times. Segura's deserving but he got plenty of help from Brewer fans who were highly motivated the right a wrong.

Yeah, I thought I typed 20.2, oops. Fixed it above, thanks.

Yeah, I'm definitely not alone as a guy who voted for Aguilar AND Segura on their ballot.

Jesus also part of the Home Run Derby. Sweet.

Let's just hope it doesn't mess up his swing in the second half of the season....

Agreed.

In some ways, I feel irritated with Roenicke for failing to make the most of the talent, and think Yost probably should have been kept around. I wonder if Yost would have gotten more from the team.

Yost also probably needed the change of scenery. Early in his tenure as Brewers manager, he said the real test for the team will be how they handle success (when success was years away). At the end of 2008, he was having trouble handling success, and the team struggles at the end reflected that.

So awesome to have four guys to root for in the All-Star game this year (maybe 5 if JJ gets in!). I have always loved the All-Star game, I know a lot of people rip it, but I actually look forward to it every year and to have four Brewers this year makes me even more excited.

With the addition of Jeremy Jeffress the Brewers now have FIVE All-Star representatives for the first time in the organizations 50 year history.
