So Williams pitched on Sunday.

Could he go on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday and be back in MKE next Monday for the start of the ATL series?

Has there been any update on Woodruff since March? I've seen nothing personally, aside from him being ruled out for 2024. I would think one of the writers would at least ask about rehab and/or if there's any chance for him to be Sept/Oct help. I'm sure he's probably not coming back this season, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

With Yelich officially to the IL, is Haase an option in LF?

I know he's play the OF before, but I'm asking is his defense good enough to get by out there for an occasional start (like today vs. the lefty)?

give Hicklen a shot?

Personally don't feel like they'd start Haase in the OF unless they were really in a bind. The other outfielders are just that much better defensively. DH makes more sense if they wanted to get his bat in the lineup.

With Yelich possibly out for the season and the massive struggles of both Turang and Contreras I think a middle of the order rental bat is this teams biggest need.

Well, drat. I wonder how they respond if he's out for the season; replacing that production will not come easily and might not be possible. Jesse Winker reunion tour?

Whether he is or isnt, we have 4 guys on the roster that can definitely do it a lot better than him. Yelich had been DHing a lot, If the Brewers feel the need to get his hot bat in the lineup, DH and occasional catcher starts make way more sense.

On to the 2025 season. 2024 I wish thee well and never come back again.

At least with Yelich out, we don't have to worry about giving away prospects for pitching rentals, time to see what we have for next year and hope Woodruff can come back healthy.

Time to focus on the minor league championships - let's get the top 4 affiliates into the playoffs. AAA, AA, A+ and A crowns here we come

Couldn't disagree with this post more. Six game division lead after today, likely to have 40 man issues in the near future, absolutely "give away prospects" to improve your chances this year

Super sad to hear that Yelich could be facing surgery & potentially missing the remainder of the season

However, if that is the case, better today - a week before the trade deadline - than a day after

Hopefully, we can acquire a middle of the order bat to help us finish the year well

Woodruff has said he’s not pitching this season……he was definite about it……I’m sure if anything had changed we would know about it.

Don’t see that happening…………it would be a panic move and those usually don’t end well……..let’s hope for the best when Yelie meets with the Doctor,…..but as Murph said today…..” what do you think we are going to do….go get Vlad Jr?”

I was hoping for that, he bounced back from it once this year, Shut it down for a while and see if he can come back in a month. Not sure what the rehab time is from surgery but if it can wait why not? Good news, this was a really big blow to the lineup.

Solid news. Means nothing new has come up, and we've seen how he can return to form with some extended rest. Though, it's not exactly great to know that serious surgery could very well be in the future.

Seems like the most prudent move in the meantime is to not even think about putting him on a baseball field until September. They don't HAVE to trade for an OF bat now, though I wouldn't fight the idea of adding some more thump to the lineup.

The question that remains is how the heck was he allowed to play in the all-star game?
