Beating the always hated Cardinals and Counsell managed Cubs 8 W - 5 L each in the season series was pretty sweet.

Rocking Stearns Mets and their $340M payroll 5 W - 0 L has been a whole other sensation.

Anyone catch that ump swearing profusely in the foul ball?

I think one of the fans in the stands was a muddy trucker. At least that's what I heard!

+8 DRS the last two years in 935 innings at 2B/3B.

How many of those are in 2024? Honest question … He had a great rookie year in 2023. He’s not been as successful this year.

And the Mets own the tiebreaker over the Dbacks, correct?

Yep.

We're going to want to be cheering for the Dbacks tomorrow, as that would ensure that the Mets have to go to Atlanta and play at least one game regardless of what happens in our game tomorrow.

Max chaos would be Mets win, Braves lose, Dbacks win.

Mets and Braves would both get into the playoffs if they split the doubleheader 1-1 and we would face the Mets.

So....it's best for the Brewers for the Brewers to lose tomorrow?

It is never best to lose on purpose, that is bad mojo.

No I'm definitely not suggesting we do so. Just saying it seems that, oddly, we are in a better position today if we lose than if we win.

Probably just throw out the biggest possible B lineup we have, get every out possible out of a pitcher that won't be on the Wild Card roster, and see what happens. Probably win 11-2.

yes
