I hate that AI stuff.

Same. Hope the mods don't allow this forum to become a dumping ground for that kind of trash.  It's neither funny nor clever.

How do I know what is fake or real? It was even in our last 2 presidential elections and people believed all that crap also. Tell me the secret of how to know? I don't.

A radio/pod host I listen to warned many years ago that AI will reach a point where we won't know what to believe anymore from any news source, rumor, accusation etc. We're getting there. It begins with innocuous, amusing subject matter like sports or pop culture related stuff to normalize it.

Another thing to look for is hands/fingers. AI seems to have trouble with those and often you'll see an extra finger or something obvious if you look closely.

These AI videos are getting increasingly good, wild that this is a topic actually but it's a fair one.

Yeah they have unfortunately been rapidly improving. Need laws put in place that require AI videos to have watermarks labeling them as AI.

As of now the NL central is the only division in baseball to have four teams above .500. In the NL it's the only team to have more than two teams above .500. It's hard to believe the conventional wisdom early in the season was only one NL central team was going to get to the playoffs due to how stacked the East and West were.

Cubs are calling up Owen Cassie. He's Canadian, making his debut in Toronto (I would assume at least he'll make his debut), which is kinda cool.

Interesting decision on their part. Wonder how they will get him playing time. Are they going to cut Happ, Suzuki, Tucker, and PCA's PA to get Cassie in there? All 4 of those guys have been slumping for a bit.

Nate Lowe released. He was a guy i wanted in the offseason. Didn't work out for WAS.

I tried to log in on my iPad. Turns out it was an etch-a-sketch and I don't own an iPad. Also, I'm out of vodka.

Yea no reason to have seen this dip coming for him this year.  He'd probably be a great bounceback guy next year for someone, assuming a reduction in pay next year.   Really he wouldn't be a bad platoon/insurance for MKE to pair with Vaughn since he's LH. Unfortunately I don't see any OF ability in his background to kind of take the Bauers role, I'd guess MKE wouldn't two strictly 1Bs on the roster with how they do things.

Probably makes sense for him just to go back to TX right now. I think they're still playing Tellez/Pederson/Burger combos at DH/1B right now.  Cut Tellez for him and see what happens

Helsley just came in with a 3-2 lead for the Mets and gave up two runs

Both New York teams are a hot mess right now and I'm loving every minute of it.

To add fuel to your post, the one under 500 team(Pirates) are 26-24 against the NL West and East combined.

Nestor getting a little roughed up by the Giants. Down 4-0 in the 4th.

Definitely flirted with disaster his first two starts with SD…9 H | 4 BB | 2 HBP in 9.1 innings but just 3 ER for a 2.89 ERA (but a 4.51 FIP under the hood).

Maybe but that is going to take some really good prospects for the O’s to trade him.

Rutschman is looking like Matt Wieters 2: Electric Boogaloo...

Adley at Age 24 to 27
2022: 133 wRC+ | 5.6 WAR
2023: 125 wRC+| 5.5 WAR
2024: 102 wRC+ | 2.7 WAR
2025: 93 wRC+ | 1.2 WAR

Wieters at age 25 to 27
2011: 110 wRC+ | 5.0 WAR
2012: 107 wRC+ | 4.1 WAR
2013: 86 wRC+ | 1.6 WAR

From age 28 to 34 for Wieters it was an 85 wRC+ and 1.3 WAR.

Basallo isn't an MLB ready everyday catcher defensively so I'd imagine the O's will ride out Rutschman for at least another year and hope he bounces back because no one should be giving up some really good prospects for him with that trendline.

If there's name recognition there's a buyer.
