Not here, but hearing lots of pouting from "fans" complaining our home field advantage is now gone that we are playing the Cubs...how did it help us in 2021? 2023? Game 7 2018? Last year? How did it help? We lost.

It doesn't matter. Brewers players are used to Cubs fans in our stadium, it's just a fact of life. And I bet they feed off that energy a little bit rooting against them. Bring it on. Let's do this. One of these times we have to win a couple playoff series here and get hot at the right time. How sweet would it be to be right now for these next couple weeks.

1) - Unable to get a hit with runners in scoring position.

One (1): as in the number of hits the Cubs achieved with runners in scoring position in the three game series

I believe Imanaga is worse than Boyd or Taillon.  But rest and how they feel is huge.  Three days rest for Boyd is not very much even with only 58 pitches.  Wonder if we see any of Collen Rea?

Rea threw 1.2 IP on 15 pitches Wednesday. So similar to his bullpen day if they decide to start him Saturday.

I do think whatever the cubs decide to do, there will be a planned short leash on their starter/bull guy for game 1.

I have to go to Chicago next Saturday for a big event on Sunday.

Hopefully I don't find myself in the middle of a big Cubs victory celebration.

Brian, that 1 bad strike call is NOT why the Pads lost the series.

We could make a list of real reasons, I'll start with a couple.

1) - Unable to get a hit with runners in scoring position.

2) - Their superstars not providing the offense they paid them for. (the top 3 batters went hitless. Tatis Jr 3 strike-outs in 4 ab.

3) - Cubs Pitching

4) - Cubs Defense

A 100% wrong call at the very end of the game did cost the Padres. You said "unable to get a hit with runners in scoring position."  I say, when balls are called strikes on Bogarts and not even close it is very hard to get a hit.  Umps 100% took that inning away from the Padres and given to the Cubs. I hope the Brewers molly whack the Cubs bad!

After grabbing the 1-0 lead in game one, SD had  runner on 3rd w/no one out & didn't score. An inning or two later they had runners at the corners w/one out & didn't score.

If they convert on those two opportunities I suspect SD would be in Milwaukee this weekend.

I dislike the every other day game schedule for the NLDS, which should pretty much keep bullpens on really good rest throughout - Kind of wish they wouldn't have planned off days between games 1-2 and 3-4, as it would preserve some of the strain the Cubs' pitching staff put on themselves during the 3 wildcard games.

That being said, these off days between games will give the Brewers' key pen arms all the rest they need to be available every single game, too.  The mix of Ashby, Koenig, Uribe, and Megill being able to go rinse/repeat for 5+ innings each playoff game as needed without much of any worry on rest is pretty damn solid.

As has been the case with other Brewers' postseason runs, how far they go will most certainly depend on how many runs they can consistently score.  At some point even the most airtight pitching staffs spring postseason leaks, and teams that win titles take advantage.

Exactly - the Padres had a quality chances to take a bigger lead in Game 1 and didn't capitalize.

From what I heard, not until Saturday morning.

Correct, it's the morning of the first game in each series.

This is the kind of quote I need. I was pretty nervous, but I could run through a wall right now. I’m ready to watch some postseason wins.

Of course it isn't, but bases loaded with NO outs is a hell of a lot different than bases loaded with 1 out, which is what happened.

Especially down by two runs.

You can't pin it on that alone, obviously, but that made a HUGE GIGANTIC difference in the possible outcome of that game.  No matter how you look at it, that was a horrendous screw job by that home plate umpire, that may have had a detrimental effect on that outcome.

We'll never know...

For me personally, this Cubs series IS the World Series as far as I'm concerned.

This is huge, big, monstrous!

We win this series, then the next one is the World Series!  We win that one, and the actual World Series is next, but like I said, for me, this Cubs series = the World Series, because we can't get to the real one without taking Counsell out first!

It's HUUUUUGE!

A huge massive lead by the seventh inning will have all the Cubs fans streaming for the exit anyway.

I always loved watching those lines.

Questions are a burden.   And answers a prison for one's self.

When do the Brewers have to have their roster set for the NLDS?

Tomorrow morning. Miz made it, not a big surprise. I think you have to roll the dice with raw talent that has shown it can be effective.
