His #s were pretty solid in MKE but terrible with everyone else. If it’s a major league deal I’m curious the corresponding move. Woody to 60 day IL? Maybe they confirmed behind the scenes he needs surgery it’s just not public knowledge yet

He will be a long reliever and spot starter. Henderson is taking over Woody's spot in the rotation so the Brewers needed some depth. I don't hate it he pitched well for the Brewers at times and pushed our you know what in with the Cubs this year. I expect a Greg Jones DFA very soon.

I sorta assume it’s a big league deal and he will fill the 8th man in the bullpen role. An arm that can give you some length if needed and they’re not scared to abuse if needed.

I like him more than Woodford in that role, but that’s probably some rose colored glasses type feeling.

Why would they sign him to play a roll Stallings just showed he might be able to handle? A minor league contract seems a lot more likely to me. Signing him to a major league contract means he has to stay on both the 40 man and 26 man roster. That's losing a lot of flexibility for someone who hasn't be good for quite a while. While we might have a 40 man spot opening with Woody wouldn't it make more sense to save it in case we need it for a trade? I just don't see the upside of losing the roster flexibility and money just because he was good here for a year or so once upon a time. I do see the upside of a minor league contract for someone who was good here once upon a time.

The Cubs just passed him through waivers, and he went unclaimed. If the Brewers wanted him on the 40-man, they just would have claimed him. That they didn't makes me believe this is a minors deal.

He won't be changing places with a position player.

It’s reported to be a major league contract.  I am going to assume Harrison to the IL and Woodruff to the 60-day IL to open up a 40-man spot for Wilson.

If all of those things are the case, wouldn't it make more sense to bring Stallings back up.

I would wager they’d rather have Stallings pitching regularly over being the guy that can go over a week without an appearance.

Surely that is true I am just saying there really isn't a roster crunch on the 40 man right now.

the brewers did confirm its a MLB deal, but no corresponding move has been made. I hope its as simple as Rom going down.

Rom down. McGee DFA'd to clear a 40 man spot

Again, good news that its not Woodruff going on the 60 day IL.

The Brewers did/do have a quiet problem with the amount of young arms they are relying on and the end of season question for most of them on innings count.

Wilson wants a major league job and the Brewers need a few arms they can (respectfully) abuse through the summer to hopefully save a few innings on the young arms and pen. Seems like a good fit for both as long as he can tread water while here.

Welcome back Bryse! Sorry you had to play for the Cubs.

Someone check to be sure Spencer is OK. Big time early tenure Easton McGee STAN, our Spence!

noone can argue that he isn't better than Drew Rom so this isn't something anyone can be upset about. Also removing Easton McGee isn't a big deal. This move is OK.

Yeah he is just a guy that will most likely get DFA as soon as they need the spot.

McGee can't be feeling great, Brewers prefer he be DFA instead of just transfering Lockridge to the 60 day IL. Also, don't understand why an argument can't be made Rom is better than Wilson as Wilson is pretty horrible.

Lockridge was already on the 60 Day IL. He got moved there earlier this week when Greg Jones was added back to the 40 man
