For me, it's been Wiemer, but really, not much difference.

But Mitchell was a 1st round pick so the expectations are much higher as well as the cash invested in him.

Wiemer was a pleasant surprise kind of prospect who was not a highly touted yet played his way into a shot at the majors then sort of faded into obscurity.

How often do you take a series 2 out of 3 and feel like you were swept?

The two games against Twins were same way

In semi seriousness, would he perform worse than any other final person on the 26 man roster at this point?

Yes. He literally got dropped by one of the worst teams in baseball

I'd say we've gotten some darn good results from Perkins who started the year in that type of area.

Gotta love to hear the Wrigley crowd get all worked up over a routine fly ball to end the game

Brewers taking care of business in their backyard, now 23-13 versus the NLC.

Pirates at 17-15 after beating STL today are the only other NLC team with a winning record in division.

Wow.    I can’t believe we won that series.   I also can’t believe yelich injury is that bad.    We have to get more hitters.   We just have too now

Hiura’s career WAR is 0.7. In that sense, in aggregate, he is better than a replacement level player. 🤷‍♂️

Sure, but he put up 1.9 WAR his rookie year so over the last five years and 736 PA he has been worth -1.2 WAR.

The new scheduling has its perks.  You can conceive a child and it will be born before we have to see the Cubs again.

Post of the game!  Tough to keep the Diet Coke from coming out my nose as I read it.

That's the best Payamps has looked in a while.

Over the last 14 days, Payams has an OPS-against of .273.  Not batting average, not OBP, but OPS.

That's a terrifying thought.
