I stand by my belief that this team needs a needle moving bat far more than pitching or we may very well end up disappointed once again in October with a lineup of guys that have very poor postseason track records.

what available bat is the much wanted "needle mover"

Oh man, I love this.

Also -- what a shock, we pick up a guy with plus fastball velo and extension 🤣

His arsenal made us look like absolute fools. He always has been a super talented arm. Can Hook unlock another gear?

Romero is recovering from appendicitis so he won’t be with the Brewers for awhile.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I do not know the return, but feel like the value is like Coleman Crow + lottery.

Also a note that Romero is on the IL for like 2 more weeks, but it was with appendicitis so nothing concering with the arm.

Arozarena was that guy but he seems to no longer be available. The needle moving bat might be Made or Fischer but either way we need another hitter.

Oh it's a LMAO...these are "innings eaters" at best. That does NOTHING for them. It doesn't move the needle one iota.

This must have been the "big swing" Arnold was referencing! HUGE HUGE deal. 🙄

So you spend the past few days whining non stop about how the Brewers won't give up prospects and get a deal done now and suddenly they actually trade for a legitimately solid starting pitcher and your response is "LMAO".

Simply put, you are a troll.

Jojo will be on the playoff roster, and useful now. He’s solid, and has been historically reliable. He’s probably the 3rd best reliever in the pen after Megill and Uribe.

I don’t know if May will be on the playoff roster or not but he’s going to help preserve our bigger bullets arms the next two months at the very worst and that has value.

Not sure what people were expecting, Mason Miller?

There was a few week stretch May was Amazing, but last few starts weren't good.

I noted above too but that's not right.   Last months is sub 3 with over 10k/9.   he essentially had two blow up starts back to back late june first week of july (after his 9 inning shutout that probably pushed his arm) and besides that has been good all year.  And at times much better than good

That is a great pickup

How can you possibly know this until we learn what we had to give up?

May's peripherals are really good (3.14 FIP). Put him with Hooky and Henderson and behind our defense and we could be cooking with something.

We've seen first hand this year what this guy is capable of when he's healthy and on his game when he almost tossed a no hitter against us.

Soooo, he's not available.  And to me he would not move a needle.  Our 8-10% chance would still be 8-10% chance

Cubs acquire Gausman with 4.38 ERA and 3.51 FIP and you suggested the Brewers clubhouse is experiencing existential crisis and betrayal from our front office.

Milwaukee acquires a pitcher with identical 4.38 ERA and significantly better 3.14 FIP and… 🤷‍♂️

When Skubal and Soriano got traded, arguably every other available pitcher would slot in as our fifth best option. We can debate whether we should/could have gotten one of those two, but once that ship sailed, "innings eater" is exactly what we need. Someone to keep Miz, Harry, Hendo, and Dro fresh for October.

JJ Abrams. If a bat isn't available...you make one available. It can be done.

Move along now little buddy

Again, almost assuredly not being shopped

He is a good arm that fits what we like to do. I am not saying it is a good trade. I am saying it is a solid pickup.

Hearing It's for Coleman Crow and Josh Knoth.

If so, I don't mind this at all.

Also continues the trend - selling teams are almost all skewing toward wanting pitching.  Even what little we have to offer when the farm is loaded in bats.

Thanks but I am NOT a troll. I bet they literally gave up ZILCH for him so it's not really giving up any prospects(none worth anything anyway), with all due respect, I have no idea how people get excited over trades like this. They don't move the needle at all, and I won't get over the fact that it was said they were going to take "big swings", where are those? You can't say something like that and then whiff. You HAVE to be willing to give up the prospects to land those swings.

That is interesting... didn't have a trade with the Cardinals on my radar.   I'm not familiar with either of these players

May no hit us through 7 innings earlier this year.

This post does nothing to diminish the objective fact that you are a troll whose "opinions" we shouldn't do anything other than ignore.
