i dont know. Part of Murph's effectiveness is having the guys playing with some looseness and fun, not so uptight. He seems harder on the rookies. Everyone knew the situation that the white flag had been raised. Doesnt require the brewers to let up but im sure Murph saw what was going down and let it play. And after he smoked that ball it made me wonder if he could switch hit in the future without seeing his current splits.

I can't believe how crappy the NL West is this year.  Outside of the Dodgers, every team is .500 or below.  The Giants and Rockies are especially crappy.  The AL West is in a similar situation and the AL Central isn't much better.  Strange year overall so far.

It's crazy too because I don't think the Padres, Diamondbacks, and even Giants are that bad on paper.

Tristan Peters hit for the cycle yesterday, was named to the AL All-Star team and has a 3 WAR so far for the White Sox this season.

For those who aren’t familiar, we traded him in 2022 for an injured Trevor Rosenthal who never threw a pitch for us.

We have have made some truly awful trades for relievers at the deadline the past few years, not to mention the Zerpa trade in the offseason.

Ouch. At the same time, San Francisco and Tampa both gave up on him too.

Yep, and the Brewers traded him to the Giants, who later traded him to the Rays who subsequently sold his contract to the White Sox last December.

Fluky stuff happens for sure.

The 2021-2023 trade deadlines were pretty bad for brewers Front Office in terms of relievers, losing our best (although we got Contreras ultimately and also still have Gasser), and acquiring the collection of Norris, Curtiss, Rosenthal, Bush, Chafin who all amounted to very little or negative value.  And the team lost Reece Olson (2021 for Norris) and Peters (2022 for rosnethal).

All Star Coverage 2026 Fun Fact:  Jacob Misiorowski was 4 years old when Justin Verlander threw his first no hitter in the MLB.

The Derby was spectacular and I haven't watched it in years. The new format was much better. Netflix did a great job. Walker's family seem like wonderful people.

The weirdest part was Bonds on the mic. It was so nonchalant and he was just part of the scene again.

Here's your Misiorowski extension baseline.

That seems fair to me...

I figured a Miz discussion would be way more than that so not even worth having. But at slightly more than that, especially if team options are involved there's a chance something could be done that make sense all the way around.   Still doubtful on it but worth kicking the can on
