It's the home opener! Who is going?

It's kind of a weird game for a home opener, as it's two split starter/relievers from 2023 going against one another. It's Junis's first start for the Brewers and Louie Varland is a decent Twins prospect who started a handful of games before converting to a shut-down reliever late last season. He's a pretty solid pitcher, think of him as a prospect at or a tick below Robert Gasser, to put it in Brewers terms. The kind of guy who might be okay or pretty good some day but also might fall on his face at any time.

Anyway, I'm enjoying the hell out of this new-look Brewers offense, here's to seeing more of it!

Looks like Kepler, Correa, Buxton and Santana have each had success against Junis.

I’m excited to see how Jacob pitches today.

Partial dislocation of the shoulder (subluxation) won’t know more until inflammation subsides. Reportedly had same injury previously and underwent surgery for it. Not a good sign.

I'm petitioning one of our writers to dive into the Quero situation. He's working on his PhD in sports medicine, his analysis is top notch on this stuff.

Quick read of some articles just said "shoulder". Was it his throwing arm?

Congrats on the new job. This is the first time I've been able to work from home during a Brewers' opener so you can bet it's going to be on my personal computer while I "work".
