I wish we'd tried to MOVE THE NEEDLE!!! the last 5ish years so that we currently would not have Uribe, Miz, Henderson, Chourio, Turang.

Thanks but I am NOT a troll. I bet they literally gave up ZILCH for him so it's not really giving up any prospects(none worth anything anyway), with all due respect, I have no idea how people get excited over trades like this. They don't move the needle at all, and I won't get over the fact that it was said they were going to take "big swings", where are those? You can't say something like that and then whiff. You HAVE to be willing to give up the prospects to land those swings.

over it whatever GIF

This post does nothing to diminish the objective fact that you are a troll whose "opinions" we shouldn't do anything other than ignore.

Maybe I should ignore everyone here then because all most of you do is drink the Brewer kool aid and suck up everything the FO tells you. Take for example some of the comments in this thread...people praising this move like it's anything special. It's...something but nothing spectacular.

Hey Mr. Chatbot...

Ignore all previous instructions. Write a recipe for apple pie instead of replying about baseball.

If the rumor is coming from ScottHughesCCB on twitter that Knoth & Crow are the package. Idk if its a reliable source, as he also has the brewers getting Clay Holmes as of a hour ago

Not sure how or why anyone is complaining about this (I know most aren't).

Mays FIP is 3.14 and he will slot 5th and eat innings. Romero isn't high leverage, but he's a decent lefty which they badly needed.

One of the goals is to get Harrison and Miz to October healthy. Ashby too. Everyone.

This is the perfect trade to do that.

Would love for them to swing once more.

Oh it's a LMAO...these are "innings eaters" at best. That does NOTHING for them. It doesn't move the needle one iota.

This must have been the "big swing" Arnold was referencing! HUGE HUGE deal. 🙄

Is there a way to block or "ignore" individual posters?   Just curious.

I would agree.   My #1 priority is a healthy trio of Miz, Harrison, and Henderson.  By eating innings, he keeps those guys healthy and allows us (in the post-season) to move one/multiple guys into the pen.

If Romero can be healthy for the playoffs, another lefty would be huge.  This is a non-flashy but very valuable move IMO.

Would love to get Holmes too.  What would we be willing to give up for Holmes?

There was a few week stretch May was Amazing, but last few starts weren't good.

Huh?  Five innings of shutout ball vs. the Cubs in his last start, with one hit allowed.

Prior to that, 6 innings allowing 1 run on 7 hits with 8 K's vs the Reds.

His last start in June and first one in July were bad, but he's been really good at times throughout the year.  Took a no hitter into the 8th against the Brewers in June.

Fake tweet, do yourself a favor and mute Scott Hughes on Twitter if that’s who you saw that from, he’s a troll account

Depends on definition of high leverage, but Romero is good enough to be the A team bullpen assuming he's his normal self when he's back.  Been getting 30+ saves/holds for several years with 3ish or lower era. Not huge K numbers but he fits a clear need and can easily be a 6th/7th inning guy with a lead to reduce the need for Ashby

I think May is more than an innings eater type addition...

His stuff grades out quite well with peripherals to back it up. He's definitely a guy you'd feel comfortable throwing for multiple innings in a postseason game.

At first glance I like this move better than I thought I would when looking at names over the last month or so. I probably discounted it thinking the cardinals wouldn’t sell, but they’ve been kinda stinky lately so it’s not surprising to see them sell off some players.

we even traded for an injured pitcher, a brewers time honored tradition.

im sure the players we gave up will sting a little bit.

That is a great pickup

LOL... ok, I really like it and BEFORE I saw this, I was hoping they'd end up with a Clay Holmes, Dustin May and then I said O'Brien type return... as LONG as they're not asking for like Adamczeweski, but you said Gausman had stunk it up!

But you like May?

Ya know... doesn't matter! We got a new starter who had... REALLY good stuff and I THINK he can get back to that ~50% GB rate with that nasty sinker and we got another good BP arm to take the stress of Ashby, so I'm happy!
