  3. Jeferson Quero
Decent if unspectacular in AAA thus far, which is a win in my book. Maybe he gets a September cup of coffee?
  4. Cooper Pratt
    Good not great in AA
  5. Logan Henderson
If only rotations could have 8 spots. My sweet prince has nothing left to show in the minors.
  6. Marco Dinges
Went to Wisconsin and didn't bat an eye. I'd be against pushing him to Biloxi so he can continue to work on the defense though
  7. Robert Gasser
I need more Bob Gas in my life. Good to see he has started a rehab asignment
  8. Braylon Payne
He's been better than I expected him to be. Soon to be a Timber Rattler?
  9. Brock Wilken
    10 A
  10. Luke Adams
10 B. Wilken beats him with the 1st round pedigree but they are pretty evenly matched for me
  11. Andrew Fischer
First round pedigree gets him onto the list. Hope he plays in Carolina late this year
  12. Eric Bitonti
  13. Bishop Letson
    Injuries :(
  14. Josh Adamczewski
This man needs to be in Wisconsin
  15. Luis Lara
With the hitting improvements he has a real chance to reach the big leagues as a 4th OF/ pinch runner type
  16. Mike Boeve
Would love to see mor power.
  17. Craig Yoho
Hopefully we see him again eventually
  18. Coleman Crow
Wow! Houser and Taylor trade is paying off!
  19. Blake Burke
    Ditto Boeve
  20. Tyson Hardin
    Ace!

As always, really tough to rank these guys. The new draft picks are exciting! Honestly the top 35-40 guys are so good, and even those who qualify more as minor league depth than prospects are exciting guys who will win minor league games.

Love love love lovee the system

Pretty much all the usual suspects.

I'm very high on marco dinges; amazing bat and high defensive ceiling.

Think brock wilken will be a future big. Gets on base and mashes. him and luke adams are in a similar boat, but I give the edge to wilken.

The physical profile and recent play of Bitonti is too tantalizing to ignore. The floor is lower than you'd hope, but the ceiling is so high (higher than any corner INF in our system imo).

Gasser, Hardin, Letson are hard to place. Gasser and Letson are/were injured and hardin is having a great season.

Areinamo is tough to gauge... almost feels unfair putting him this low considering his progress: power and OPS is up, still batting around .300, solid INF with versatility, but his ceiling just screams solid MLB utility player.

In Seattle currently, so not much time to add context. I love the Cairone pick though so I snuck him in at 20. Ebel isn't far off, Thompson is likely around 30, but there are a ton of years he would've easily been T20 for me. Just ridiculous depth. Probably close to 20 names I look at as reasonable options for the last few spots.

Some really tough exclusions here. It will be interesting to see how many players will be on every ballot (or all but one or two outliers). The tier once you get past 9 or 10 is so large, I've got a feeling the votes will be pretty well scattered.

All I can really say off the top of my head is I love me some RHP Jason Woodward. I love me some RHP Bishop Letson. I love me some 2B Josh Adamczewski. And, I love me some Marco Dinges.

I think it's clear Pratt has hit a small plateau at Double-A Biloxi - as a result, he's lost some of his sheen from my POV. The fact I easily put Jadher in the 20-to-30 range tells you how deep and talented our current system is: I'm a known Jadher truther but I have a hard time putting him ahead any of these players even though I could rationalize it in many ways. Our 20-through-30 will easily outperform our 1-through-20 many weeks of the Minor League season. I'm reluctant to put Melvin Hernandez or Manuel Rodriguez in the Top 20's until I see what their stuff does in the Southern League - that may just be me but that's a big jump in competition and I need to see that velo play against stiffer competition. I am at a point where, until I see consistent defensive opportunities and strikeout numbers coming back to Earth, Mike Boeve is no longer a Top 20 prospect for me. INF/OF Tyler Black is nowhere near my Top 20 at present and that's just wild n' wooly. I think guys like INF Ethan Murray and LHP Tate Kuehner - who aren't even in this list - could very easily be impact players today in Triple-A - extremely underrated players who fall outside these lists. That's a testament to the quality of depth we have system-wide. I feel the same way about INF Fillipo Di Turi who continues to not get any of the accolades he deserves. He is an incredibly solid player who is way too often overlooked.

  1. Luis Pena
I get that Made is the bigger name, but Pena has 70 speed, he looks like a guy who'll hit .300, hit for... solid power and could be an outstanding defensive 2B(or stick at SS).
  2. Jesus Made
Switch hitting power hitting IF'er. Giving me Jose Ramirez vibes.
  3. Cooper Pratt
JJ Hardy with better plate discipline...and the ability to cover the inside part of the plate.
  4. Jeferson Quero
Defensive first catcher who can hit .280 and hit for a little power?
  5. Braylon Payne
One minor little tweak to his step that I'd prefer to see adjusted a bit, but it's nit picking. Right now he looks like a guy who can play an elite CF, steal some bases, he's got good plate discipline and decent power and with is frame, more could come. Not the 2nd coming of the Kid, but very impressive as an 18 year old in A-ball.
  6. Luke Adams
I don't think he's Adam Dunn, but I think there's some similarity there(from the right side). Better athlete, but I think he's going to hit ~.220, walk 12-15% of the time and hit for a lot of power. One of my favorite prospects.
  7. Marco Dinges
Offensive first catcher who looks surprisingly capable as a catcher given the limited PT there at FSU.
  8. Logan Henderson
8 seems a bit low for Henderson, but I love the guys above him.
  9. Robert Gasser
Gasser has already shown he can pitch at this level.
  10. Andrew Fischer
A pretty safe bat. If he can hit .250+ his power will make him an extremely valuable player.
  11. Brock Wilken
Bad luck, but he's got huge power. He's not going to be Brooks Robinson at 3B, but he's got a big arm. And with #1, #2 and #3, he may be destined for 1B/DH anyway.
  12. Blake Burke
Reminds me of Joey Votto when he was coming up. Very patient hitter, hits for average. May not be a prototypical power hitter...though I think he'll add some. Very suddenly 1B/3B seem to be deep in this system.
  13. Josh Knoth
I'm still high on Knoth. Most pitchers will have TJ at some point. Knoth can touch 98 as a LHP with a developing repertoire. He might be the #1 pitcher on this list if he hadn't lost the season due to TJ, but I think he'll come back stronger as he fills out.
  14. Brady Ebel
I'm kinda shocked we're at 14 and this is where I'm putting Ebel... I do value upside over proximity, but 6'3 left handed bat who looks like he's got the ability to stick at 3B and again, one of the youngest players in the draft. Oddly reminds me a bit of Tyler Black with the potential for more power and a more clear defensive home.
  15. Josh Adamczewski
All he's done is hit. He's kept pace and then some with some of the top prospects in baseball in Made, Pena...lacks the positional versatility, but another player who can do it all.
  16. Bishop Letson
Part of that incredible '23 class, Letson could be even higher if not for a shoulder issue that's kept him out since June. He's dominated HiA, also touching 98 this year. ANOTHER big cold weather guy the Brewers stole in the late rounds.
  17. Eric Bitonti
Bitonti is a hit or miss guy and I could both put him 10 spots lower this year or 10 spots higher in years past. He's got such a smooth swing, if he can improve the hit tool just a bit, he's going to be an very valuable prospects.
  18. Bryce Meccage
There just aren't enough spots. I liked Flores, the LHP who was committed to Kentucky in this range, but Meccage is again, a 6'4 RHP who has room to fill out, add velocity and refine his slider...which is his 4th best pitch at the moment.
  19. Tyson Hardin
A plus FB and elite command give him a high floor.
  20. Brett Wichrowski
With a FB that can hit the upper 90s, an advanced slider, my only concern is the relatively low K and BB rate in AA. Fallback is another flamethrower in the Brewers BP, upside is he a solid rotation arm if he can develop the cutter or change.

Not having Lara on here feels a little silly. Boeve, Thompson, Flores... this is a deep system with ELITE talent at the top and so many top 20 worth guys being left off. Ethan Murray were he a bit younger would be around 15, but he looks like he's going to be a contributor nonetheless.

This farm system reminds me of the Brewers with Prince, Weeks, Hardy, Hart, Braun... but we didn't create it with top 5-10 picks, we've done it will building a competitive team.

But where that farm system was top heavy and you have to kinda search for guys who might, maybe could contribute a bit, this one has...so many who are going to be ready each year.

We have the 55-60 FV prospects, we've got 50-55 FV, we seem to be loaded(IMO) in the 45-50 FV range.

Misiorowski is gone, that may stop us from having the top ranked farm system, but what this front office is doing is amazing...and only watch these guys play a few times a game. What just affirms all of this is watching these scouts on Twitter raving about Dinges and having him as a top 5 catcher or people with no affiliation to the Brewers arguing why Pena should be the a top 3 SS prospect ahead of Made and Pratt.

And we just keep adding guys with another deep draft where...hopefully, we can get 18-20 of these guys signed.

As someone who only goes off stats and doesn't follow prospects too closely, why isn't Adamcekjsanvzkzewski ranked higher on these lists?
Seems like the dude can really rake.

Lack of defense? Lack of tools? Injuries?

Can’t speak for everyone but I would say it’s because there isn’t a ton of upside in the glove and speed, and he’s behind other bat first prospects like Wilken and Adams who have shown it at higher levels

As noted the lack of defensive home is factor #1, but the back injury I know spooked me a little on him. But he is so solid all around, but doesn't have a loud tool (he is not raw power but will probably hit HRs, and is not fast but will probably steal some bags and be aggressive on the base paths). So it's several factors, but a good showing this second half and start to next year and he could find himself in the top5 maybe, and top 10 easily (which is still hard to crack).

Everyone loves comparing current Brewers prospects to former Brewers players so I'll throw out Scooter Gennett (Reds version though hopefully) for an Adamczewski comp.

a Rich man's version I hope. Scooter was a pretty mediocre player.

Yeah, that's why I said Reds version hopefully.

From 2017-18 there were 26 players that got at least 500 PA at second base.

Among those 26 players Scooter ranked 3rd with a 129 wRC+ and 5th with 6.0 WAR.

In a macro sense its the same kind of profile, questionable second base defender whose bat is going to have to carry the profile.

I am absolutely shocked that *four* ballots completely left off the player who is leading the Southern League in OPS by a mile (and was top 5 in all of the minors in XBH when he got injured, so it isn't just HRs).  Well, one of them doesn't shock me, and I can understand not having him in the top 10 as there isn't a ton of difference between #1 and #10 for me.  But to not have him at all in the top 20?

Question the K rate (which isn't terrible, is getting better, and is offset by a stellar BB rate), but I question how many of these A-ballers are going to be as successful making the jump to AA, especially hitters in the pitcher-friendly Southern League.

I compared my list to the consensus and was pretty much in alignment with most picks, only a few folks was I more than 3 spots off - I was much higher on Luis Lara (I had him 8, where the group had him down at 15) and Brady Ebel (NR and would have been #21, and I had him at 14). Otherwise the group was much higher on Yoho (#18, and I would have had him 22-24).  I either overlooked Bishop Letson, or really downgraded him due to shoulder injury (I think the latter) and he would have been #21 for me, but was still #12 on the consensus board. Otherwise Boeve and Meccage were only 3 spots different.

We have really a consensus top 6 (Made/Pena/Pratt, followed by Henderson/Quero/Dinges) then it can vary quite a bit.
