The return is far worse than I feared… Ragsdale and Frias

I would have preferred Crowe and Knoth

I've got no problem trading those guys, but it just doesn't seem like the right value. Either tier up and get more control or tier down for lesser depth.

Thanks but I am NOT a troll. I bet they literally gave up ZILCH for him so it's not really giving up any prospects(none worth anything anyway), with all due respect, I have no idea how people get excited over trades like this. They don't move the needle at all, and I won't get over the fact that it was said they were going to take "big swings", where are those? You can't say something like that and then whiff. You HAVE to be willing to give up the prospects to land those swings.

WHAT!!!!

Oh NO!!!! I'll ONLY be happy with getting a guy with a 3.14 FIP and a very good SU man if the Brewers gave up a TON to get him!

Hell, forget Knoth, give them Pena, Payne, Fischer... and then a PTBNL in case they want one of the players we drafted. Hell, throw in BOTH Ebels! That'll mean it's a better trade!

No offense, but I don't get how people complain we haven't made a move(before the deadline ends) and then we add a REALLY good starting pitcher... one who's had health issues and is now back throwing upper 90s and has elite stuff. He's a great fit and his BIGGEST addition may be pushing Sproat to the long role out of the pen. Sproat has great stuff, but he's not refined enough yet to be a starter. But this is a good reliever, a igh leverage reliever and a good starter....

And you absolutely seem like a troll.

Figured it had to be something good for the Cards to trade in the division.

This is why Arnold prefers to trade in February, but I think he had no choice this time, everyone expected a move.

This is such a horrible trade. May isn’t even going to start a playoff game. He’s not better than Drohan, who is the current postseason #4 behind Miz, Harrison, Henderson.

This trade is actually disgustingly bad.

Arguably the two fastest rising players in the system - both Top 100 guys in multiple outlets. I am jaw dropped befuddled at this cost.

There is A LOT to be excited about with Frias, but I'm guessing the lack of speed and defense means he wasn't a priority to keep for the Brewers.

Ummmm. Yeah. WT literal F?

Uh... WHAT?!?

.... no. That's... absolutely insane. Frias was a top 100 prospect(per BA) and Ragsdale was a 70 speed guy who was hitting .300/.430 with a 1.100+ OPS AND he had 12 HRs and 31 SBs is in AA. That's... a JOKE. This cannot be the whole deal. This is absolutely insane.

Yea considering some of these other deals we've seen out there that seems a bit of an overpay.   Generally like the guys they got but seems if paying that much they might've been able to do better.   But at least none of the top top names.

side note, I'd think something else comes that clears a bit of the AAA 40 man roster crunch of the next year or so.  Think your wilkens/black types.
