  1. Jackson Chourio
Previous Ranking (1) Hurts to say we don't have a sure fire phenom on our hands. But alas I have learned nothing is really close to a sure thing until a young player dominates AA. He still has time on his side just wish I was writing up about how his AA stats are close to phenoms like Acuna and Trout. Instead they are closer to Jose Tabata and Elvis Andrus. I still love how he can barrel the ball to all fields. I can and will still dream on that.
  2. Jeferson Quero
Previous Ranking (2) I consider myself modest but will pat myself on the back for believing the upside in the preseason. It is very rare for a prospect to walk more, strike out less, and increase their ISO when comparing A ball stats to AA stats. It is down right crazy the strides hes made offensively. I still think his pull heavy approach will be exploited in the majors and that limits his ceiling for me which is why I still have Chourio clearing him comfortably on this list.
  3. Sal Frelick
Previous Ranking (3) Ugh a tough season for Sal but that is just how injuries go sometimes. Also tough luck for the Brewers having him and Mitchell go down around the same time. I am not worried one bit about him.
  4. Jacob Misiorowski
Previous Ranking (6) Wow is all i have to say. He would be right there with Chourio on my list if he had better command and if he had a better changeup. Having said that what a find by the Brewers scouting staff. From JUCO to wowing scout at the future games in under a year is crazy.
  5. Tyler Black
Previous Ranking (5) I can't believe he has 41 stolen bases. His draft profile really sold him short on his power potential and his run potential.
  6. Robert Gasser
    Previous Ranking (8)
  7. Carlos F Rodriguez
Previous Rankings (4) I admit I probably had him too high in the last ranking, I can sometimes fall victim to a snap shot in time fallacy. I still love his 3 pitch arsenal though but I do have to ponder how much the tacky ball helps his numbers.
  8. Luis Lara
    Previous Ranking (11)
  9. Abner Uribe
    Previous Ranking (9)
  10. Brock Wilken
  11. Eric Brown Jr
Previous Ranking (7) Was hoping for better results at Wisconsin, it is too bad he got hurt recently.
  12. Yophery Rodriguez
Previous Ranking (NR) I try not to put latin american players in my top 20 till they actually play a game. Gilbert Lara taught me that lesson.
  13. Cooper Pratt
  14. Robert Moore
Previous Ranking (NR) I hated this pick at the time it was made. I just did not like taking a player in the second round coming off a bad college year. Thus why he has not been in my rankings. But above average results with a little more pop than I thought has him on my list this time.
  15. Josh Knoth

  16. Previous Ranking (NR) A nice bounce back year for Freddy. I know he is 24 but when you realize he lost 2020 and 2022 to behavior, covid, and injury you realize how little development time hes actually gotten.
  17. Luke Adams
    Previous Ranking (NR)
  18. Hendry Mendez
Previous Ranking (10) I want to put him higher but I don't know if he will ever have the power to hit at a corner outfield spot.
  19. Eric Bitonti
  20. Logan Henderson
    Previous Ranking (18)

Below has to be a record on the amount of guys that dropped out after an update. I will say as good as the top of the Brewers system is, it is really shallow in the 16-30 range compared to some years back. I do hope and think the draft really helped with this along with the international signings of Yophery Rodriguez and Filippi Di Turi.

Dropped out:

Justin Jarvis (12) He just gives up too many homers for me.

Alexander Cornielle (13)

Daniel Guilarte (14) No power whatsoever

Quinton Low (15) Still love the arm talent just were too many guys who have performed that deserve to be ahead of him

Matthew Wood (16) A really bad start to High A has him off my list

Stiven Cruz (17)

Edwin Jimenez *(19)

Alexander Vallecillo (20)

For all the love (and rightly so) regarding Wilken, I really like the selection of Boeve & Pratt as well. Gasser gets my nod over Uribe simply by being a starter, I could go back & forth all day there. Big fan of Adams. I hope Eric Brown can enjoy sustained health as I feel he has a lot more to give (although I'm concerned a bit about his setup as are some others). Wouldn't be surprised if Zamora opens some eyes in AAA next year.

I maintain that I prefer tiers to rankings. There just isn't that much difference between the 20th ranked prospect in baseball and the 120th. Same can be said for the Brewers prospects. I also have a strong preference for performance, and players closer to MLB, rather than scouting reports and projection because when one looks at established MLBers' minor's performance, they very rarely have poor minor league numbers for full seasons.

Tier 1 - Chourio

Tier 2 - Frelick, Quero, Misiorowski (only because Frelick and Quero have already had success in AA, Misiorowski will pass them soon and join Chourio in Tier 1).

Tier 3 - Gasser, Rodriguez, Uribe, Black, Brown Jr., Adams, Lara  - I'm not as high on Black as others are, but if he finishes the season strong, I'll be a believer. I LOVE Adams, and while many questioned EBJr. as a draft pick, I'm high on him as well. I think Lara has seperated himself from many of the other youngsters.

Tier 4 - Everyone else, including prospects 21-40, many of whom are simply too young/inexperienced for anyone to properly rank them. But I'm very excited about several of them!

Lots of ink saying he's been fine tuning his approach. Mega second half in Biloxi, cup of coffee in Nashville, 2024 ROY.
  2. Jeferson Quero
  3. Jacob Misiorowski
  4. Tyler Black
  5. Robert Gasser
Ranked highish because of his proximity to the big leagues... not many chances to wash out anymore.
  6. Sal Frelick
Probably doesn't deserve to be this low, but its a testament to the ascension of some of the other youngsters.
  7. Abner Uribe
I think he lights it up in MLB and helps this year's team hold enough leads to win the division.
  8. Josh Knoth
High hopes for this draft pick.
  9. Carlos F Rodriguez
If he was closer to the majors, I'd have him a bit higher.
  10. Cooper Pratt
    Sign him, preferably by yesterday.
  11. Yophery Rodriguez
    The next big helium guy.
  12. Luis Lara
Candidate number 2 for next big helium
  13. Brock Wilken
  14. Daniel Guilarte
    Get back to full health!!
  15. Eric Brown Jr
  16. Eric Bitonti
  17. Justin Jarvis
  18. Mike Boeve
  19. Freddy Zamora
  20. Robert Moore

Clearly our top prospect. Has great tools and is holding his own at AA as a 19-year-old.
  2. Jeferson Quero
Has had an amazing season. Great defensively and has good offensive tools. Almost a guarantee to be a good defensive backstop at the major league level at the very least.
  3. Jacob Misiorowski
Has great stuff and blew past the competition in Single-A. Showed in the Future's Game that he can dominate superior competition.
  4. Tyler Black
Is having an insane season. If he doesn't break Double A's base-stealing record it will be because he was promoted. Showing a plus hitting tool that could fit into the lineup today.
  5. Sal Frelick
Disappointing so far this season. The tools are still there, but he has struggled since returning from the thumb injury. If he can start hitting again, there is a good chance we will see him this year.
  6. Robert Gasser
After struggling with command early, has had a great season in Triple-A. I would expect to see him this year if injuries continue or when Teheran falls back down to Earth.
  7. Brock Wilken
Wasn't entirely sure of where to rank him.
  8. Cooper Pratt
An absolute steal if we sign him. Great tools and is being compared to Gunnar Henderson.
  9. Abner Uribe
Had a strong debut. If he can keep it up, and improve his control, we may have our next star closer.
  10. Carlos F Rodriguez
  11. Josh Knoth
  12. Luis Lara
  13. Logan Henderson
  14. Matthew Wood
  15. Tyler Woessner
  16. Eric Bitonti
  17. Justin Jarvis
  18. Yophery Rodriguez
  19. Luke Adams
  20. Quinton Low

I am very confident in the top 5. Didn't rank Wilken or Pratt higher because they are still unsigned and haven't faced pro ball. Brown Jr and Moore I am not confident in.
