  1. Jackson Chourio
The GOAT. Nothing else to say. I'll take him over Holliday any day.
  2. Jacob Misiorowski
Best stuff in the minors alongside Skenes. Right-handed Randy Johnson? Please stay healthy.
  3. Jeferson Quero
A defensive whiz, his bat keeps improving. Love the power surge. Tailed off a bit in the second half, but likely injury related.
  4. Tyler Black
Professional hitter. Dude gets on base with the best of them. As always, where will he play?
  5. Robert Gasser
Grew so much over the course of the season, reigning in his control issues. I think he's a back end top 100 guy and a future mid rotation starter.
  6. Brock Wilken
Big time power. Great patience. Fast start. Will he sneak onto top 100 lists this winter?
  7. Carlos F Rodriguez
I'm lower on Rodriguez than most, but can't ignore his production at AA. Another guy who should be able to slot into the back-end to middle of your rotation, perhaps as soon as next year.
  8. Luis Lara
So advanced as a hitter for his age. Will the power come? If/when it does, he'll move up the rankings.
  9. Cooper Pratt
Likened to Gunnar Henderson on draft day and he's done nothing to make those prognostications look silly so far. I could see him topping this list a year from now presuming the graduations of Chourio and Misiorowski.
  10. Mike Boeve
He's a hitter. Though, I worry about a Keston Hiura outcome with him.
  11. Eric Brown Jr
Gets on base and fields a premium position. But you'd like to see more from someone who had the reputation of an advanced hitter. Next season will be telling.
  12. Eric Bitonti
Second youngest on this list after Chourio. Decent showing in Arizona. Could rise up the list depending on how he shows in full season ball.
  13. Josh Knoth
Highest upside pitcher in the system after Misiorowski, armed with a big-time curveball. Reminds me of Ben Sheets. Only 18, so still a wide variance in potential outcomes and will take some time.
  14. Yophery Rodriguez
This is about as high as I'll go for someone yet to play stateside. I'm not saying it will happen and he doesn't have quite as loud of tools, but he's the one in this system who could experience a Chourio-lite rise. I can't help but imagine him in LF next to Chourio and break a smile. Youngest player on my list.
  15. Logan Henderson
How did he not get the call to high A is beyond me. Recovered from injury and dominated the Carolina League. But isn't that to be expected from a 21 year old? If he can replicate that performance next season across multiple levels, he'll move into my top 10.
  16. Luke Adams
Great showing in low A as a 19 year old. You love to see that kind of patience and power from someone so young. His set-up terrifies me though not unlike Wiemer. This is one where our hitting development staff will have to do some developing.
  17. Daniel Guilarte
Promising start, but finish left a little to be desired, and there's little power. Still only 19 and has a great eye at the plate.
  18. Filippo Di Turi
Only 17. You can't help but be thrilled with what you saw from him in the DSL. Will the Brewers be aggressive with him like Chourio and potentially Yophery? Power questions, but the glove is there.
  19. Bradley Blalock
Two plus pitches with an average third and solid control. That's starter material. Good results. Let the Brewers pitching development system eat.
  20. Dylan O'Rae
Love everything about him. EXCEPT for one caveat and it's a major one: He has yet to hit a single HR. in the minors.

Top 5 farm system in baseball undoubtedly. What Johnson and co. did this past draft was criminal. It's at a point where I'm comfortable holding onto Burnes, Woodruff, and Adames for one last run.

  1. Jackson Chourio
Stud. Superstar. Best position prospect the Brewers have had in decades. Barring injury, we will see him next year.
  2. Jeferson Quero
Always has been one of my favorites, had him top 3 early on in the 2022 season. He's a stud defender, great leader, and the bat could be quite good. Likely see him in 2024 as well.
  3. Jacob Misiorowski
The arm talent is insane. Probably the best of any pitcher in the minor leagues. Can he hold up as a starter and can the command be serviceable? I lean more toward yes than no, but they're real concerns.
  4. Tyler Black
He's ready for MLB at bats, wouldn't totally shock me to see him make the 26 man out of spring training next season. Potentially at first base with Santana and (likely) Rowdy gone.
  5. Luis Lara
I think this is a 70 grade defender in center field with hit-ability traits and more power that he will tap into as he matures. 60 grade baserunner but he's faster than that. Just needs to work on his jumps and that could turn to a 70 as well. Even if the power doesn't come, it's easy to see a lot of similarities to Sal Frelick, but as a switch hitter.
  6. Robert Gasser
Most seasons we would have already seen him in MLB. If the Brewers do trade Burnes (which I expect), I think Gasser will get a real chance to make the rotation out of Spring Training.
  7. Eric Brown Jr
Still a huge believer. Excited to see him in the AFL, hopefully the start of better injury luck and overall health. I think he's an electric player to watch on the bases and in the field and that the bat is going to be there for him once he gets consistent reps.
  8. Brock Wilken
If you read my draft breakdown, you know I was a little down on Wilken's fit with the Brewers. Having seen him play in person twice while he was in Appleton, and watched him at all three levels... He's grown on me. I still worry about the defense (though less than at draft time), and I think the K's are going to start to show more at the upper levels. But he's more of a gamer than I expected, showing some great instincts on the bases. and the hit tool is better than I thought as well.
  9. Carlos F Rodriguez
I think we will see Carlos in MLB next season as well. Southern League Pitcher of the Year, the command will need to continue to get better, but he's a bulldog competitor with really good stuff and a starters mix.
  10. Cooper Pratt
Still hard to believe the Brewers got Pratt where they did. Huge upside in pretty much every facet. Will need to be patient with him, but the payoff could be a Gunnar Henderson type.
  11. Josh Knoth
Ceiling wise, only Miz has a higher ceiling in the system. Mid-Upper 90's fastball with great life, two nasty breaking balls. Really just need to see how it looks in pro ball, but he's one that has TOR stuff, which isn't easy to find.
  12. Luke Adams
I remain extremely high on Adams, I think both his glove and his baserunning are heavily underrated. He might not be the most visually appealing player of all time, but I expect him to be able to get it done as he climbs the ladder.
  13. Logan Henderson
I'm surprised we never saw him in Appleton. I think they just wanted him to lead the Mudcats rotation during their playoff push. Best changeup in the system, fastball with ride that has jumped in velo since draft day. I want to see how it goes at tougher levels and if he can continue to stay healthy like he did in 2023. But this is a potential mid-rotation arm.
  14. Yophery Rodriguez
Slowed down toward the end of the DSL season. Not uncommon for players in their first season. I think he's the guy this far down that could make the leap to top 5 or so in the system by next year.
  15. Mike Boeve
Big time hit tool, started to tap into the power more in pro ball. I think it's there, but it may not be there consistently for a year or so. Similar hitter to Tyler Black, but not going to steal bases like Black. Likely a better defender at third and second though, has cleaner actions, though still needs some work to be sure.
  16. Eric Bitonti
Huge raw power, the strikeouts will be something to monitor. A very good athlete for his size, he's likely a third baseman. Really one that I am in wait and see mode on, but the ceiling is very high if he can make contact consistently.
  17. Ryan Birchard
I liked Birchard as a potential Brewers target from the start and I really loved this pick. He shows 60 grade stuff across the board in his FB/CV/SL mix. The fastball had an induced vertical break of 20" in the MLB Draft League which is elite. He can touch up to 98 with the fastball. The curve is a near 3000 RPM hammer and the slider is a 2500 RPM pitch with 12-15" of horizontal break. It's a tiny sample, but I'm hoping we get some video from instructs. Big time ceiling.
  18. Patricio Aquino
Great slider that carries the repertoire. He strikes a lot of people out, he limits walks decently, he's young for the level and can get into the mid-90's with his fastball. A lot to dream on, hopefully the success can continue as he climbs the ladder.
  19. Bradley Blalock
Didn't really get to see him throw much in Appleton and when he did, he may have been battling an injury that eventually shut him down. Wait and see on this one.
  20. Dylan O'Rae
Lots of similarities to Sal Frelick, especially now that he's playing the outfield. He has even less pop than Frelick though. The ceiling is probably a Frelick type, but the total lack of ability to drive the ball currently does make the floor a punchless hitter that fades in the upper minors.

Did not include Uribe because he graduated, but he would've been #13 and 50+ OFP as a future closer. I'll give a quick run down of my tiers and then I'll extend to the rest of the last tier containing my top 20. I lean a little more toward the ceiling on OFP than someone like Fangraphs does with FV. Especially after the top 30 or so, the tiers are way more important than the ranking that goes with them.

Tier 1 (70 OFP)

Chourio

Tier 2 (60 OFP)

Quero

Tier 3 (55 OFP)

Misiorowski at 3 through Lara at 5

Tier 4 (50+ OFP)

Gasser at 6 through Adams at 12

Tier 5 (50 OFP)

Henderson at 13 through Bitonti at 16

Tier 6 (45+ OFP)

Birchard at 17 through O'Rae at 20

  1. Jackson Chourio
Top 3 prospect in baseball. Fairly consistent all year, and had a monster July.
  2. Jeferson Quero
Injuries slowed him down, but 20 year old catcher with MLB caliber defense and good hitting at AA. High end prospect.
  3. Tyler Black
Top hitter all year. Consistent, and got better with moving up the chain. Impressive year!
  4. Robert Gasser
Consistent - got better as the year progressed. Will be a MLB pitcher, should be a mid to back end rotation arm.
  5. Jacob Misiorowski
Amazing helium rise. Arm fatigue derailed the end of the season. Struggles against AA raise some question. A good '24 puts him in the top 20 overall prospect list. A poor season sees him as an elite reliever in the future.
  6. Brock Wilken
Worthy of the first round selection. Held his own in AA months after a CWS run.
  7. Carlos F Rodriguez
The most consistent arm all year long. Another rotation piece for the future. Had great splits that were not much change pre and post "tacked" ball.
  8. Cooper Pratt
Excellent debut. Was 2nd/3rd round talent, possible future SS. Lots of potential.
  9. Luis Lara
Not quite Chourio, but did have an impressive rise like him. Could be at AA by the end of next year. High end hitting, needs power to be top 5 talent in the system.
  10. Luke Adams
So impressive at A ball as a 19 year old. Most don't hit like he did. Defense a question long term, but power and hitting are so good at such a young age.
  11. Mike Boeve
Played really well in lower levels, but injury cut season short. Hitting is not a question and he showed some power at the Complex league.
  12. Yophery Rodriguez
Phenomenal debut for such a young player. Should be State side next year and could be another aggressive move up the minors if he can hold his own.
  13. Logan Henderson
What a great season. Ace of the Carolina team. But at 21 he should be dominating, need to see him succeed in A+ or AA to rank in the top 10.
  14. Dylan O'Rae
Spark plug, speed, hitting. Needs a defensive home, but looks like he was a solid draft pick out of nowhere.
  15. Eric Bitonti
Power and hitting should be for real.
  16. Josh Knoth
Lots of potential. Hopeful for a strong debut. Will be on the list as a top draft pick, but cannot be in top 10 until he demonstrates success in the minors. Poorly based on potential alone.
  17. Eric Brown Jr
What a lost season. Defense is great. Hoping he can find his hitting in Fall League or next season.
  18. Jadher Areinamo
Among the talented teenages in Carolina. Was consistent hitting, power could come as he hit a bunch of 2Bs.
  19. Daniel Guilarte
Mid season was a borderline top 10-15, but inconsistent in second half dealing with an injury I think.
  20. Juan Baez
Him or Mendez. Solid list to have these two at 20, as in years past they would be top 15 based upon potential. If Mendez gets back on track he is top 15. Baez can hit, and could move up quickly

Based upon age and potential, but this year could factor in the actual results since it was deep enough. Other years would have top picks (Brown, Zamora, Moore) or recent draftees/IFA (DiTurri, Letson, Nadal) given the  potential. But so many young players with impressive seasons. The top 6  is legitimately good.

  1. Jackson Chourio
Never batted an eye with each promotion. Numbers suggest he's starting to really hone the plate discipline & contact rate which is huge at age 19. Bat to ball was extremely impressive after going up to AAA. Won't be long now.......
  2. Jeferson Quero
Sad to see him have the health issues, but his behind-the-plate skills, combined with the bat, that's a combo as good as gold. Thought of dropping him one spot. Just can't do it.
  3. Tyler Black
Only ? is the glove, but he was pretty good at 3B when moved up to AAA. The main question appears where he ends up defensively, but wherever it is, the bat plays. And the plate discipline is off the charts. Never knew how fast he was until he got to N'ville. Just an entire offensive package save for power, but actually he has enough of that, too.
  4. Jacob Misiorowski
Smooth, easy gas. True top o' the rotation potential. They'll be ultra careful with him. Like all young uns, just refine the command.
  5. Brock Wilken
Love guys who get promoted & don't bat an eye. Thought he'd move to 1B, but from what I understand his work at 3B belies his size. Wouldn't be surprised if he moves through the system quickly.
  6. Luis Lara
Another guy who moved up a level & didn't bat an eye, at the age of 18. Lack of power might hold him back, but I think he may open some eyes around the advanced-A circuit next year.
  7. Robert Gasser
Going on 25, so it's time. Didn't see him throw as often as some of you may have, but it seems to me the command maybe needs to tighten JUST a bit. Has a real chance in Milwaukee next year, esp if Ashby is gonna take awhile to get back up to snuff.
  8. Eric Brown Jr
Stay on the field & get comfy, that's all I ask. Seems like a guy that can beat an opponent in many ways.
  9. Carlos F Rodriguez
Almost seems like the Misiorowski hype & Gasser being closer to the bigs overshadowed him just a bit. But there's nothing not to like. Career WHIP just over one. Just over 6 hits/9 innings. Consistency.
  10. Mike Boeve
Looked like his season ended on a sour note? Would love to see him settle into one position & get comfortable.
  11. Cooper Pratt
Many think he can stick at SS. At his size that's all you need to know about his athleticism. Will probably skyrocket up these lists if he develops a power stroke.
  12. Yophery Rodriguez
Showing some power (6 HR) & taking his walks at the age of 17. Yeah, it's the DSL, but sign me up.
  13. Jadher Areinamo
A terrific glove who knows his way around the batters' box, too. Would like to see him draw more walks moving forward. Really looking forward to his stint just up the road in Appleton in '24.
  14. Luke Adams
Still high on Luke. Great combo of size/strength, athleticism, speed, plate discipline.
  15. Logan Henderson
Another guy I haven't seen enough of. But a WHIP just under one w/Carolina.
  16. Josh Knoth
Sounds like he's starting to touch 95-97 with the FB. And the spin rate on his curve is supposed to be exceptional. It'll be interesting in seeing what they do with this young (18-yr-old) arm in 2024.
  17. Juan Baez
I Like hitters who are stingy with the Ks. He continued to be even when moving up to Carolina. Also seems to have a knack for driving in runs, something I still hold on to as an important feature. Wondering what he can do in full-season ball (and where he winds up defensively) in '24.
  18. Eric Bitonti
Yet another big, raw-boned kid for the INF. Already has shown pop.
  19. Dylan O'Rae
I love the little guys who just compete & make a positive impact in winning baseball games. And there's some versatility there. Arm apparently is suspect at best though.
  20. Wes Clarke
Lots of reasons to omit him, but dang it, he deserves mention. 3TO guys aren't the "thing" they once were so he has an uphill climb, but he'll be someone who can catch when asked so that'll help him crowbar his way on to a roster. Someday. Maybe.

It speaks to the volume of depth they've built that Devanney, Mendez, Zamora, Norman, Wood, Blalock & some of the younger pitchers don't make the cut. Looks like a golden era for the Brewers minor league system.

  1. Jackson Chourio
I am leaning more and more each day towards wanting him to be on the opening day roster next year.
  2. Jacob Misiorowski
Close between him and Quero, I chose him because his floor should be super high as a big time reliever at the worst.
  3. Jeferson Quero
Quero being blocked by Contreras is going to be an interesting discussion going foward.
  4. Tyler Black
Another guy who could/should start in the bigs. I kind of like him as a super utility playing 1B/2B/3B/OF/DH basically everyday somewhere else.
  5. Brock Wilken
I am buying in on the bat, maybe a late in next year call up. Should be a top 100 prospect in my books
  6. Carlos F Rodriguez
Splitting hairs on Gasser/Rodriguez, I'll give CRod the nod just based on being a bit younger. Another nationally under ranked guy who should probably be a top 100 prospect.
  7. Robert Gasser
#3 of should probably be on the opening day roster as the #5/6 starter. 338 k's in the past 2 years is impressive. Borderline top 100 prospect.
  8. Luis Lara
If he can add some power he can easily jump into the top 100 (50) in the mlb next year.
  9. Cooper Pratt
Beyond excited to see him get a fully year in next year, I could see him as high as #6 on this list depending on how much you buy into rookie ball and pre-draft rankings
  10. Josh Knoth
I was hoping that the club would at least give him a few innings in professional ball but I can wait until next year.
  11. Eric Brown Jr
I think if we could just erase the 1st half of the season he might be a top 100 prospect, him being 11 shows how amazing our farm system is even with Frelick and Uribe graduating in the past week(s).
  12. Luke Adams
Reminds me of a 3rd base Joey Weimer, hopfully he can refine a few things in his swing but another guy who could explode next year.
  13. Eric Bitonti
I worry about him being Jake Gatewood (if you remember him) but the upside is huge here as well.
  14. Mike Boeve
Get him in the weight room, other wise the bat should make him a solid utility player at least.
  15. Yophery Rodriguez
Here hoping to starting in A ball and following a Chourio/Lara path next year
  16. Logan Henderson
I would have liked for him to get a couple starts in Appleton this year but he had a wonderful year, with the plus changeup he should find continual success.
  17. Dylan O'Rae
Amazing year, if he can develop even doubles power he could be an amazing prospect come this time next year.
  18. Daniel Guilarte
I'm probably sleeping on him a bit, another great year from an 18/19 year old prospect.
  19. Bradley Blalock
I am not sure what to make of him, I will give him this spot based on his numbers in the Sox's system early in the year.
  20. Wes Clarke
Likely won't be ranked high anywhere on the web. However he has kind of turned into a favorite of mine. A powerful 1B who can catch. I like the idea of Quero/Contreras spliting C and DH and then having Clarke as a bench player who can essentially be a quality 3rd catcher and maximize the 2 catchers PT.

I love how most of our top prospect don't strikeout much, this organization has done a spectacular job. There are 4-6 other player who could easily be top 20 prospects on that list and another half a dozen who have really big upside after that.

Making this list, I leaned heavier than I typically do on youth and upside. Saying this, I love the depth we have 20-30 in the system. Heck, I could give meaningful depth through 50 if I felt so inclined (I don't, I'm lazy and it's early in the morning). Needless to say, this season was immensely enjoyable to watch and the system is back to top 5 prominence nationally - as it likely should be.

As per usual, my addendum is: my list doesn't mean all that much and I can give several reasons for many more players beyond my selections here that can make their mark and get a chance at the MLB level.

  2. Tyler Black
I love Quero, but I'm taking Black over him because Black at this moment is the closest thing to a sure-bet, multi-threat offensive prospect as you ever see.
  3. Jeferson Quero
I feel bad ranking him this low.
  4. Robert Gasser
If Gasser makes it as a mid-rotation starter, which looks reasonably likely, then the Hader trade will go from a win to highway robbery.
  5. Brock Wilken
He has been better than advertised, not that the advertisements were bad. If he can keep this up, he could be our number two prospect by June.
  6. Carlos F Rodriguez
A pitcher who dominated AA at 21 is our number six prospect. Sure he needs to cut the walks a little, but damn.
  7. Jacob Misiorowski
For me there's an appreciable dropoff after six. Misiorowski has maybe my least favorite kind of prospect profile: a high school pitcher with control issues who's having some (hopefully minor) arm problems. His talent is undeniable, and he could be great, but he's the riskiest high-level prospect in the system.
  8. Luis Lara
I had Lara after Pratt and Brown, and then I remembered he's 18, I'm still not sure he has the pop to make it, but he does basically everything else well, and he handled high-A decently at 18.
  9. Cooper Pratt
    One to dream on.
  10. Eric Brown Jr
Brown has the same question marks as Lara, and he's 4-5 years older, but he's also apparently a plus defensive ss. Next year seems especially big for him.
  11. Eric Bitonti
Another one to dream on, and he's more than a year younger than Pratt. His .180 small sample BA looks ugly, but he slugged and walked. If he can cut down the Ks, he could rocket up the charts.
  12. Logan Henderson
I don't know how to sort out these next four guys -- apples and oranges -- so I'm giving the pitcher with the breakout season the edge because we'll need him. Not much so far about Henderson that isn't to love.
  13. Luke Adams
Somewhat similar offensive performance to Yophery but further along, similar age for level. Biggest issue of course is his K rate.
  14. Mike Boeve
Boeve didn't exactly kill it at Wisconsin. Odd stat: he had as many RBI there as hits (18). If this were like 1985, we'd love him for that.
  15. Yophery Rodriguez
Secondary average: .455. K rate: 18 percent. Can he do that stateside? If so, he's another potential rocket.
  16. Dylan O'Rae
Another big dropoff for me starts here. Everyone from this point on has serious issues. I'm irrationally high on O'Rae, given his utter lack of power -- but if Lara does everything else well, O'Rae does everything else exceptionally. Okay, other than play ss. But his BB/K and SB/CS stats are absurd, and he made the transition to low A without really skipping a beat.
  17. Josh Knoth
Knoth could be great, but I can't take an untested high school pitcher, no matter how promising, over the high-ceiling guys above him who have shown something.
  18. Juan Baez
I'm going to be contrary here and take Baez over Guilarte. Baez is nearly two years younger, and I think he's more likely to improve his plate discipline than Guilarte is to develop power.
  19. Daniel Guilarte
Defensive profile is intriguing, but makes Luis Lara look like a power hitter.
  20. Patricio Aquino
I needed someone to knock Blalock off my list, and Aquino is the guy. Handling low A at 20 as well as he did is no small thing.

This was fun.  Thanks Brock and everyone else who helped with this.  I seriously can't remember being this excited about our farm system in a very long time.  The star power is considerable; the depth, as far as I can recall, is unprecedented.  Everyone in the top 20 has a realistic chance, by the standards of his age and performance to date, to be an impact major league player.  I probably leaned too hard on performance, leaving out some high-potential guys who haven't put it together.  I figured the default list reflected scouting to some extent, so I basically tweaked that list based on outcomes.  I'm also very big on age for level.

  20. Shane Smith

Lots of really interesting prospects here and pretty far down the list.

Notes:

1. Wilken is in the tier with the two pitchers rather than vaulting above them simply because I'm holding off until pitchers have a chance to adjust to him. He moved up so fast because of his stellar play that that really never happened.

2. O'Rae and Baez were considered for the top 20, but the fact that offensive numbers were so absurd in the ACL (I don't think Galindez pitching better in Carolina was a fluke) hurt both in my eyes. Plus, I worry that O'Rae's walk totals are likely to drop as he moves up the ladder because the number of really wild pitchers will keep dropping, and he hasn't thus far had the ability to consistently showcase doubles power like Areinamo has.

3. The system flattens out after the top 7, but there are more than 50 players here that I am legitimately intrigued by.

4. Like I said in the other thread, I gave a fair amount of consideration to Luiyin Alastre, who came a few extra base hits away from reaching the 15/10/.1 marks I like to look at (less than 15% strikeout rate, more than 10% walk rate and a .1 or better ISO.

    Chourio is Chourio, 'Nuff said
  2. Jeferson Quero
August and September were far from top prospect stuff. I understand he was injured, but that is also a concern. He really struggled when he came back. The tools are absolutely there and I expect a bounceback next year. Eager to see how he will do in Nashville.
  3. Tyler Black
He is ready to contribute in the Majors. Tore up AA and AAA this year. The only concern is over his defensive home, but even that can solve itself. Personally, I like the idea of trying him out at first but we shall see. I just absolutely love his bat.
  4. Jacob Misiorowski
The control is the one thing he needs to figure out. Once he has that, he will be an MLB pitcher. Insane stuff, incredible Ks and amazing at limiting contact. Just can't stup walking and plunking batters. The ceiling is sky-high. I will also reiterate that, even though I know nothing of pitching mechanics, he scares me. I don't know what but I feel like he will blow out his elbout sooner rather than later.
  5. Robert Gasser
Another guy who is ready for the Majors. Has good stuff and led the International Legue in strikeouts. The control was the only concern and he has honed it in
  6. Brock Wilken
Wilken's bat is really exciting. A lot of power and has surprisingly hit for average with good OBP skills. I also love that the K% has stayed in the 21-22% range. I am really excited to see how he does in AA, maybe AAA, in 2024.
  7. Carlos F Rodriguez
Pitcher of the year without question. Love everything about him. I think he could come in in mid-2024 as a reliever.
  8. Luis Lara
The power is really concerni. I think he might end up as a 4th outfielder/ pinch runner, of course, I would love for him to develop.
  9. Logan Henderson
The ace of the Mudcats. Appleton looks like where he'll start, but I am hoping for a mid-season promotion to Biloxi. Fantastic arm.
  10. Mike Boeve
I really like his hit-tool. Still to see what he can do. He struggled a lot more in A+ but was still solid.
  11. Josh Knoth
Ranked here because we haven't seen him yet. Has insanely good pure stuff.
  12. Eric Brown Jr
I was wrong about him. The injury and slow start threw off his starts. I am still not very confident but he definitely has a lot more potential than I gave him credit for.
  13. Cooper Pratt
Great job in rookie ball. Looks like a good prospect, can't wait to see more. Really exciting.
  14. Luke Adams
Had a great season. Love the power and the swing.
  15. Eric Bitonti
Looks really good. I want to see how he does next year.
  16. Yophery Rodriguez
Great in the DSL. I hope to see him in Arizona next year. Maybe Appleton? I am a bit sceptical as he has only played DSL ball.
  17. Dylan O'Rae
Same concerns as Lara. Great OBP but where is the power? I don't need him to hit 30+ homers but only 9 XBH in 300+ career ABs is too little.
  18. Bradley Blalock
Could become great. His bad performance in Wisconsin is discouraging but I want to see how he does in AA next year. Possible late season cup of coffee if he does really well?
  19. Wes Clarke
Really consistent bat. Overlooked performer in Biloxi Won't stick as a catcher but he could be a solid 1B. Would love to see what he can do in Nashville next year.
  20. Shane Smith
Really liked his work this season. Whip is down and K's up. If he can keep it up he could be fighting for a place in the bullpen in 2025.

Others

Juan Baez- Incredible season for him. Did struggle in Carolina.

Ryan Brady- Really solid too. Put Smith over him because Smith is younger.

Jadher Areinamo- Feel like he could develop strongly.

Tobias Myers- Was really good at the end of the year. Want to see how he does next year and if he can maintain those results consistently

Isaac Collins- Had a strong season. Hoping to see him improve next year at Nashville.

Noah Campbell- Great season. Hoping to see him improve next year at Nashville.

Jesus Chirinos- Had the second-best OPS in the Carolina league but struggled in Wisconsin.

Satchell Norman- Strong results in the ACL but I want to see how he does against higher competition. Not familiar with his defensive game but it would be great if he could stick as C.

Jace Avina- Recovered from an awful first half to finish strongly.

Patricio Aquino- Great number 2 to Henderson. Really solid season.

Ryan Birchard- Exciting arm.

Cameron Wagoner- Got better with time. Hope he keeps it up.

Demetrio Nadal- Really good season. Only the DSL so I won't rank him higher.

Robert Moore-  Had a really disappointing season. Hoping for a bounce back next year.

Tyler Woessner- Struggled as the season went on. Talented arm.

Will Ruddy- Solid season. Good arm. Hope he does well in Wisconsin.

Evan McKendry- Solid arm. Feels like Janson Junk/ Colin Rea/ Jason Alexander 2.0

Matthew Wood- Really struggled in Wisconsin. Hoping he can grow next year. Really though he was our second best catching prospect behind Quero but he just could not put it together.

Edgardo Ordonez- Similar to Norman but the bat was less good.

Tanner Shears- Great job from the pen.

Gerson Calzadilla- Amazing in the DSL but struggled in Carolina, Hoping for an injury-free season.

Melvin Hernandez- Really solid but only DSL.

Eric Prado-  Really solid but only DSL.

Enniel Cortez-  Really solid but only DSL.

Freddy Zamora- Had an average offensive season, and the defence is just too inconsistent.

Honourable mentions

Jose Siberian- Had a fantastic season and was an important leader. Sad to see him go.

Luis Amaya- Valuable lefty from the pen. Don't understand his release.

Patrick Dorrian- Fantastic season. Not a prospect anymore for me as he was drafted in 2014. Still had a great year.

Overall, really hard to rank everyone. From 15 to like 30 there are so many talented young men. There are also many who had weak seasons or struggled when promoted who I hope will do well next year.

    19!!
  2. Jeferson Quero
Top defensive catcher, plus surprising pop. Tailed off a bit after some minor injuries. I pray the bat is still solid in AAA in 2024
  3. Tyler Black
Top notch hitter with terrific speed
  4. Robert Gasser
    Time for MLB
  5. Jacob Misiorowski
Nice rise in 2023. Needs to improve control and hopefully dominate AA ball in 2024
  6. Carlos F Rodriguez
Keeps preventing runs. Now has to do it in 2024. Just 21 years old
  7. Brock Wilken
Surprising (to me) on-base percentage, after so much draft-time emphasis on his power
  8. Mike Boeve
Acclimated extremely well to High-A ball
  9. Bradley Blalock
Expected 40-man add. Hope he's healthy, after his season ended early
  10. Logan Henderson
One of the top pitchers in all of Low-A ball in 2023
  11. Evan McKendry
Amongst top 100 International League pitchers by innings thrown, McKendry had the third best WHIP. Likely 40-man add
  12. Luis Lara
On-base, stolen base machine who plays a fine center field and is always hustling. Okay, he was caught stealing 25% of the time. But he's only 18!
  13. Daniel Guilarte
Needs to get back to pre-injury form, when he was getting hits every day. Solid shortstop. Just 19
  14. Luke Adams
Hope he keeps it up in High-A next year. Still looks a bit raw. Maybe because he's 19
  15. Josh Knoth
Not seen him yet! But a $2 million signing bonus should portend something great
  16. Patricio Aquino
Similar results as Henderson, though without as many strikeouts
  17. Juan Baez
    18!!
  18. Cooper Pratt
Looking forward to seeing him play SS in Carolina next year
  19. Dylan O'Rae
On-base and stolen base machine. Is he now a center fielder? Left fielder? Second baseman?
  20. Shane Smith
What a year for Mr. Smith
